Tricia Schiedel - B.A., RMT, SMT (cc)


Tricia has been practicing massage therapy since 1996.  Her background as a competitive athlete, fitness instructor and a degree in physical education led her to massage therapy.  She has since studied various techniques around the globe including sports massage, strain counter strain, muscle energy technique, myofascial release,  visceral manipulation and deep tissue treatment.  She has worked with national swimmers, triathletes, rowers and rugby players.  As well as her clinical work, Tricia is involved in research and is past President of the Canadian Sport Massage Therapy Association.  She is excited about her new role as mom and believes passionately in the powerful magic of touch! 


Harry Kaari - RMT
Harry has been working at Koi Treatment Centre since 2004. His experience in athletics enables him to treat sports related injuries effectively and efficiently. He is also knowledgeable in injury rehabilitation techniques such as core stability, stretching and weight training. In his treatments, Harry’s combination of deep tissue massage, muscle energy and myofascial release, enable him to treat a wide variety of conditions. Harry is also certified in BCRPA Fitness Theory and Strength Training and has run two marathons.


Megan Fredheim - RMT
Megan’s passion for health and helping others inspired her to study massage therapy at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy here in beautiful Victoria.
Megan is committed to working closely with each client to assist them in achieving their specific therapeutic goals. To meet each client's individual needs, she believes in drawing from and blending a variety of effective techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point release, myofascial release and muscle energy technique (commonly used to adjust specific joints).
She loves that massage therapy gives her the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients, including athletes, seniors, office professionals and weekend warriors.
In the spring of 2010 Megan won an award through the Massage Therapist’s Association of British Columbia for her research into sport’s related compression syndromes entitled “Reduction of arm pain in 23 year old female mixed martial artist with suspected thoracic outlet syndrome using massage therapy: A case report”.
Before becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Megan studied a variety of disciplines including Business and Global Studies and even spent a few months in rural Guyana working as a volunteer to improve literacy and health. In her spare time, Megan enjoys a variety of different sports and activities including kickboxing, yoga, running, biking, and hiking.
She has been practicing at Koi Treatment Centre since 2010.


Jason Strickland - Registered ShiatsuPractor/ Reiki Master/CST/Spiral Stone Therapy/Iridology
In his life journey Mr. Strickland has amassed a variety of skills related to Spiritual practices and healing. These include the following:
  • Karuna Reiki Master – Hands on Healing (K.R.M.)
  • Usui Reiki Master – Hands on Healing (U.R.M.)
  • Cranio Sacral Therapy – Unique manipulation of a wave like rhythm that travels through the body to release old tissue injuries (CST 1)
  • Shiatsu Massage – A Stimulating Japanese Massage involving various acupressure points
  • Iridology – An in depth study of the iris of the eye that shows internal tissue health and based on assessment uses nutrition to combat tissue disharmony
At present Mr. Strickland resides in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada with his lovely wife Alison Strickland.
